would like some help on how dmx works.. and what I can do with it
wow thank you.. I would imagine the tree would be out of my budget.. but WOW O WOW is that awesome.. I had no idea.. thanks!
yeah, that tree is awesome. DMX however isn't out of anyone's budget, you just have to spend a lot of time doing research. A LOT.
Happy hunting.
yes I guess so ... since I had no idea things like that were in our reach.. thanks again

Yes DMX is not something to jump into blind. Each year it is getting much easier than the last. I haven't made the plunge yet, but I will be jumping on the pre-sales that come out in February time line. Next year I plan on having several DMX items.
I think you have to look at your display... where are you at, and where do you want it to be at in 1 year, and in 3 years. Don't jump from static display to 300 channels in 1 year. Each year add something. At some point down the road DMX may be that step for you.
nice stuff on your website Zack... very cool.. thanks!!
Thanks Allison! I plan on adding a few more things throughout this season. I know I really need to do a basic How-To on the software side as well. What I'm doing with DMX is VERY basic and simple, you wouldn't believe what else is possible. Think 8,000 channels on ONE TREE!
I Just don't understand how you get every light to do that. (IN Patterns) My god this hobby gets very difficult specially if you want to grow bigger and better every yr. I believe the bigger part I can handle it's just the better I am unsure of.
OK, so I finally got s3 up and running nicely with my hardware. I've been a bit busy over the last week ( I think Kent has seen the pics) but I'm trying to get the video edited and uploaded today to show how everything works.
