When the Tacky Light Tour season gets into full swing buses, limos, party vans and family vans congest the streets. Neighbors are annoyed and the patience of raving fans is pushed to the limits.
What are some ideas for making traffic to Christmas displays more efficient, safer and more enjoyable for all?
One idea I picked up was on how the directions are displayed. People will follow that path for the most part. Think about the direction of flow of traffic when making those up. So when vehicles are leaving the display don't expect them to make a left onto a busy street. Maybe have them come from the opposite direction.
Another tip, talk to the local Police Department early. I have heard that some display's have created a HUGE traffic problem. One person talked to the police at the end of the season about tips for the next year, the Police was able to help with Traffic control before it became a nightmare.
Just a few ideas I have heard.
