I just had to share with you all what I found at a garage sale today.

A family was selling unopened boxes of net lights from several years ago. 8 boxes of multi color for 12.50 a piece.

That's right charging more than they cost new, for something that (multi color) no one wants.

Crazy.

I just bought a box of snow flake lights for $10 pretty good right? There where 5 big ones and 5 small snow flakes on a string

Yeah, last year I found a moving sale, and picked up all their Christmas Decorations as one lot. They got less than they wanted, but the also got rid of it all at once. I have several totes of garland that I will be selling soon. :D

Now i need to find extension cords @ garage sales. I heard that you need a bunch of them I only have 10 right now how many do i need for 12 channels?

you need as many as the sets of lights you are going to hook up... we have miles and miles worth

my honey uses spt wire as well.. but he only likes the plugs from lowes.. says they are tighter & a bit more water proof than the others

oh and btw.. he tapes every single connection with electrical tape .. takes time but does keep the water out.. we have never had a short even with 4 feet of snow on top of the wires

between Halloween & Christmas we usually go through 3 of the bulk packs of tape.. even though it works.. it is what makes me grumble during tear down.. the criss cross tape.. around and around... I put a plastic shopping bag on my belt.. and grumble.. wish there was a way to recycle this stuff.. or find another use for it

yeah the zip ties & tape make me cranky ... think we filled two or three shopping bags with just that last tear down.. it works and he doesn't mind doing it.. so I leave it be

I finally did find the super garage sale today. An older couple had a lot of stuff for sale... and LOTS of Christmas stuff marked free. :D
So I have a nice sized box full of various lights that I need to check and test. About 20 strings for free. That never happens to me.

love that.. my boss was tossing all his decorations.. but brought them to work before doing it.. you know I loaded up everything he had.. 2 blow molds & 3 foot tree were the best out of the lot
