The Tacky Light Tour was approached by an internationally known television channel on Thursday, September 14, 2011 about a conceptual show to film in 2011. They have asked the Tacky Light Tour for help in casting this new show.

If you are or you know someone that goes over-the-top with Christmas decorations and meet one of the following criteria, then please respond to this thread with information about the display.

The right candidate for the show should...
have a neighboring house within eyesight that also goes over-the-top with Christmas decorations.
or
compete with a nearby family for the biggest and best Christmas display in your community.
or
lives in a neighborhood where all or most of the residents go overboard with Christmas decorations.

If those criteria describe you, then we'd like to put you in touch with the show's producers. If cast for the show, your hardwork and creativity will be seen by millions of people primarily in the United States and countries around the world.

I meet first to criteria I go over board with inflatable and like to put all over I have a wagon that I decorate and play house a bunch of blow molds a decorated swing my neighbor and I have a competition and I see what I can do out beat him he one who does his computer generated and it only lights with a few yard decorations and then we are only to in itasca that do a big display on our side of town there is one on other side if town but not as big as ours

I meet the second criteria. I competed with a couple of houses on a nearby radio station. The display didn't end up winning because I didn't get our pictures in on time. I do 99% of the display by myself and I'm 16 years old. I think our large amount of blow molds will be a good asset to the show. My e-mail is JC42395@msn.com.

This is something I'd be interested in. We'll have 20,000 lights on our house this year and there are a few families that we compete with for the largest display in our area. Email jhull@thehullhouse.com.

I'm one of 4 decorators in our town with an animated display. The first guy who started was on his own way back in 2006. He got me started in 2007. We don't "compete" because I could never keep up with him, but we do help each other out and are always sharing ideas! In 2009 I got another guy in town started and I've helped three more guys who will have their first animated displays this year! We are all a few blocks apart but traffic just goes from one to the next. We average between 200-300 cars a night, had almost 800 on christmas eve last year. We also use our display as a fundraiser for St. Judes Children's Hospital and support the important work they do there! Maybe we aren't "over the top" enough, but 15,000 lights in four colors perfectly timed to 12 holiday songs is still pretty cool! For this year we are adding all new RGB "million color" strings and fixtures to the display. we enter the towns contest every other year... can't win a prize 2 years in a row.. does that count?
