Can someone tell me where to buy replacement bulbs? It is hard because so many lights are different than others. Some have a solid base others have lines going down. How do i find a replacement bulb to match what i have? Any help would be great. Thank You my Tacky Friends
Incandescent lights. I have a bunch of strings with blown bulbs. But ran out of replacement bulbs. I ordered some on Ebay thought they where the same kind. They where not even close. Can i send CDI a bulb to see if they could replace it? Thanks Kent
If they are incandescent they should all be the same. You could just call CDI and talk to them, but I think they should sure have what ever you need.
Most lights have a tag on the cord that indicates the voltage and type of bulb. If there is no tag the manufactor supplies this information with the light set. If it is standard minature lights you divide 120 volts by the number of lights and you get the bulb voltage. Some strains are divided so that not all go out so you need to know that number. Example is a 70 bulb strand which has 35 on each half of the circuit. 120/35=3.5 volt bulb. I look for cheap strands of lights simular to the voltage I need, purchase them and use the bulbs as replacements.
