2 hot turkey sausage links 1 pound ground beef 1 large onion, chopped 1 green bell pepper, chopped 8 garlic cloves, minced 2 jalapeo pepper, chopped 2 tablespoons chili powder 2 tablespoons brown sugar 3 tablespoons tomato paste 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup Old Bay seasoning 1 can of beer (Pabst Blue Ribbon preferred) 2 (28-ounce) cans diced tomatoes 1 (15-ounce) can dark red kidney beans, drained 1 (15-ounce) can light red kidney beans, drained
Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Remove casings from sausage. Add first 6 ingredients (turkey sausage through jalapeo) to pan Cook 8 minutes or until sausage and beef are browned, starting to crumble. Add the next 6 ingredients (chili powder through Old Bay), and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in beer, tomatoes, and kidney beans; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occassionally.
