Gene Oliver, owner of Southern Turf Lawn & Landscape, has lived in Greensboro all of his life. He started a business and a family here, and loves sharing his affinity for the holidays with others. He has been decorating his home at 2606 Shady Lawn Drive (GSO 27408) for years, each year adding hand-crafted light displays and unique features. For the past six years, he’s been collecting non-perishable foods in Santa’s sleigh for A Simple Gesture and using his landscaping truck to deliver those for distribution. Gene is constantly adding to and changing the display, so driving by any given evening may deliver a new view - even appearances from Cousin Eddie.
